Win4Youth – CSR Initiative
Providing and guiding people towards gaining the skills that improve their employability is a core competence of Adecco Group. The range of our activities is vast and is dictated by local market situations and needs. We took our commitment to support skills development to a new level in 2010 with the launch of our Win4Youth programme. Win4Youth iniatiative is to bring to life our four core values: team spirit, customer focus, responsibility, entrepreneurship.
In 2010, Adecco colleagues from around the world joined together locally and in global teams to complete a total of 228,002 km through running as a movement (which is more than five times around the world) for six selected foundations. The Adecco Group funded every kilo meter completed and the money raised was donated to India, Haiti, Chile, France, Spain and the USA. All foundations have a clear focus on educating and finally integrating young people into the labor market. One of the highlights of the Win4Youth 2010 initiative was the participation of 62 colleagues from all continents in the New York City Marathon on 7 November 2010.
After the enthusiastic response to our first initiative, we have found an exciting new challenge to again raise money for three foundations and live our core values actively. In 2011, we will join together again – this time on wheels.
Win4Youth 2011
Win4Youth 2011 is to peddle around the globe and to join hands to raise the money for three needy foundations. The goal is to cycle around the globe every month – that’s 12 times over the year totaling 500,000 km.
The foundations Adecco Group will support for Win4Youth 2011:
Social circus in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
Community homes for children - Greece
Boys home in Cebu - Philippines
The Highlight of the Win4Youth 2011 is peddling up Mont Ventoux in France. Mont Ventoux is a mountain in the Provence region of southern France. Mont Ventoux has become legendary as the scene of one of the most grueling climbs in the Tour de France bicycle race and its fame has made it a magnet for cyclists around the world.
70 Adecco Group colleagues would be selected across the globe and would be trained to take part in the win4Youth 2011 global event which will be held between 9 -13 September 2011.
